If I was to get the ideal laptop both for me and for
starting college, I would get an Alienware Laptop and a M18x R2 at that. I
would get this laptop for its high quality specifications and for its looks and
reliability which I have heard from. Although it is mainly a gaming and music
laptop, I think it would be very suefull for things in my course such as
multimedia design using programs such as photoshop.
Aesthetics:
This
laptop ways the exact same as an Apple MacBook, making it extremely light and
easy to carry around for college and from place to place. Secondly I would pick
this laptop for its impressive 1080p High Definition screen, made idealy for
gaming but perfect for watching movies or for once again using Mutlimedia
programs such as Photoshop. This 18.4 inch screen is the perfect size as well!
The design is the classic Alienware square type design with the Alienware sign
almost everywhere as well as the neon light poking out from where they can,
giving a sense of life to the laptop.
Audio:
The
laptop comes with a custom built THX TruSound speaker system which is ideal for
listening to music or watching anything out loud without the use of any
additional headphones or speakers providing the ideal experience when listening
to anything.
Perfromance:
The
M18x R2 is powered with a 2.7 Intel Core processor and has about 16GB of ram
meaning it has a lot of memory which is ideal for college for saving all kinds
of projects without difficulty, this amount of RAM along with such a
hardworking processor makes it a veryu speedy laptop and easy to work with.
Battery
Life: The battery life of the M18x R2 is ideal for college
life, a full working capacity it is clocked at over 4 hours of fast working capability.
This is perefect when working on the go with no way of charging the laptop,
especially in a college or place with limited power supply.
Software:
Although
the software package that comes with the laptop is made for gaming, it can just
as easily be suited to anything to do with college, such as ease in writing assignments,
doing projects not to mention accessing the internet with its impressive wi-fi
capabilities.
Downfall:
Although
this sounds like a perfect laptop for any college students unfourtnaly the
price makes it very not ideal for college students with a starting price of
over $4300. Too bad as I was hoping to get it!
